TUM Institute for Advanced Study (TUM/IAS)

The meeting will be held at the Garching Campus of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), in the building of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS).

  • Sessions will take place in the Auditorium (Room 0.001) on the ground floor.
  • The poster session and coffee breaks will be held on the 4th floor in the Faculty Club.

Arriving by Plane

From Munich Airport, you have two options to reach the conference venue by public transport:

Option 1:

  • Take the S1 train (direction “Ostbahnhof”) and exit at “Neufahrn”.
  • Transfer to Bus 690 heading to “Garching Forschungszentrum”.
    (Note: Bus 690 does not operate on weekends.)

Option 2:

  • Take the S8 train and exit at “Ismaning”.
  • Transfer to Bus 230 heading to “Garching Forschungszentrum”.
    (This bus runs frequently every day, including weekends.)

Arriving from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof)

  • Take the U4 (towards “Arabellapark”) or U5 (towards “Neuperlach Süd”) and exit at Odeonsplatz Station.
  • At Odeonsplatz, transfer to the U6 (towards “Garching Forschungszentrum”).
  • Exit at the final stop: “Garching Forschungszentrum”.
  • Once at Garching Forschungszentrum, take the “Lichtenbergstraße” exit. The IAS building will be directly in front of you, within a short 3-minute walk (approximately 200 meters).

Arriving by car

From the autobahn A9 take exit “Garching Nord” toward Forschungszentrum / TUM

TUM-IAS does not have any onsite parking. There are free-of-charge parking lots at Ludwig-Prandtl-Strasse. “Pay and Display” Parking is also available at Boltzmannstrasse in front of the Mathematics-Informatics Building. Walking distance to TUM-IAS 5-10 min.

Please note that the organizers do not provide accommodation. Booking accommodation in Munich can be challenging, so we strongly recommend securing your stay well in advance.
